WORKPLACE PENSIONS ARENA SEMINAR

On 18th March 2010, as part of a working collaboration between the UEA and Lucas Fettes & Partners to research the provision of workplace benefits, a workplace pension’s debate was held at the UEA’s newly established London Business School. Speakers represented a cross section of stakeholders including employers, employees, the TUC and the DWP.

Lifetime and Annual Allowance

The Lifetime allowance which sets a limit on the level of pension savings which can accrue free of any tax implications was initially set at £1.5m in April 2006, rising annually to £1.8m in 2010/11.
