Lucas Fettes receives Lloyd’s accreditation
Insurance brokers and financial advisers, Lucas Fettes and Partners have become the latest organisation to become a provisionally accredited Lloyd’s broker.
The announcement comes after a period of substantial growth across the Group, which plans to double in size over three years, and enhances the value to the Lucas Fettes Group, nationally.
The Group currently places annual insurance premium income of around £45m.
David Lee, director at Lucas Fettes commented: “To gain the accreditation took a lot of time and hard work, but it’s paid off. We are now in a great position, we can offer more markets, and have the credibility, acceptance and a competitive edge.”
As part of the application process, each broker is required to demonstrate an understanding of the Lloyd’s market, and is assessed for its suitability. Brokers must satisfy relevant regulatory requirements; Lloyd’s will then verify their reputation and financial standing and investigate the character and suitability of officers and employees before making the decision to accredit.
David continued: “The Lloyd’s name is instantly recognisable and represents quality, innovation, speed and better value, making it attractive to policyholders and participants alike. It sets us apart from other non-accredited brokers.”
Currently, Lucas Fettes staff levels are around 200, with clients ranging from small to medium sized companies, to large professional practices and multi-national organisations.
The Group’s insurance services operate across two divisions, wholesale and retail.
The wholesale division provides access to specialist markets and underwriting facilities for insurance brokers and intermediaries who cannot access the markets themselves.
In addition to its insurance divisions, the Group provides independent advice on a wide range of personal and corporate financial services, as well as mortgages.
