East to East charity challenge update
We recently wrote about the charity challenge undertaken by Sarah Triggs from our Chichester office. Sarah is a member of the ‘Unforgettables’ - a Sussex-based group, some of whom have lost someone close to them, who hold regular fundraising events and challenges.
Sarah took part in the East to East Challenge, a 102 km non-stop walk from Eastbourne to Eastergate, to raise funds for the Sussex Snowdrop Trust and Alzheimer’s Society. She successfully completed the challenge in 31 hours and has written a blog about the experience, which you can read on the Unforgettables website.
The Sussex Snowdrop Trust provides home-based care for children with life threatening and terminal illnesses. Snowdrop nurses look after around 90 families at a time, providing much-needed support and assistance. The Alzheimer's Society is the only UK charity investing in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention. Funding will enable research to continue and for families to be supported through this devastating illness.
The Unforgettables collectively raised an amazing £10,600 for their chosen charities - and would like to thank everyone who generously supported their fundraising challenge.
