Cowes Week victory for Lucas Fettes
Cowes Week is one of the UK’s most popular and longest running sporting events, and we are delighted that our company boat, Bewick of Hamble, came first in the Cruiser (Division A) class after a successful week of racing.
Bewick of Hamble had a crew of ten each day, and performed consistently well all week, securing another victory after coming first in class last year too. You can view this year’s results here.
Cowes Week is the largest sailing regatta of its kind in the world, and up to 40 races take place each day. Around 8,000 competitors take part in the event, which attracts over 100,000 visitors to the Isle of Wight. The event concludes with a spectacular fireworks display, a tradition dating back to 1826.
